Swimming

We took Jackson to the pool for the first time this weekend and to say he enjoyed himself is a major understatement. It was all I could do to get him ready to go in because he was clapping and squealing when he saw the water and kids everywhere. We had a really good time and now plan on being at the pool much of this summer. Several of his friends were at the pool too and they had endless fun splashing eachother. He had the time of his life and as soon as we got home took a three hour nap!

Brandon has been teaching Jackson a few things now that Jackson is interested in clapping, waving, etc. Jackson now has two teeth coming through on the bottom. His appointment last week went pretty well. He gained a little under a pound and is doing well developmentally for being 9 months. He had an ear infection, but we got that cleared up. Hopefully there will not be repeats. We don't have any big plans for the weekend, but hopefully we can get outside early because it is going to be really hot tomorrow.

Crawling

After months of getting around like an inchworm, Jackson decided to start crawling last week. I guess he just thought it was time. Here is a little video of the action...

First Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day! We had a great weekend here in SA. Pam and Gerald came to visit, so Jackson showed off all of his new talents (pulling up, clapping, etc.). It was very hot outside and Brandon was not feeling well, so we just relaxed and visited. Friday night we did go for a long walk, and despite the humidity we all made it the whole way. Jackson gave me a Baby Food cook book for Mother's Day which will come in handy over the next year. He loves everything we feed him so far, so let's hope that continues. And today he is 9 months old!

Train Ride and First Tooth

That is right, Jackson's first tooth has surfaced! I would take a picture, but he is not a fan of that. So whenever you see him next you can check it out. Or if he gets a hold of your finger like he does with me, you will feel it! We have had a good week. Last weekend we went to Brandon's company's annual picnic and then did some shopping. Overall we just caught up on rest and enjoyed the down time. Tuesday, Jackson and I met up with my sister's family and my mom to celebrate my neice's birthday. We rode the miniature train near the zoo and then had lunch with everyone. Jackson loved it all, and his cousins enjoyed playing with him.
